Facebook is the world’s largest social network, with a user base of 3.3 billion people, encompassing 43% of the global population. Facebook passwords are a prime target for hackers. Implementing a security key as a second layer of authentication can protect your Facebook passwords from 99.99% of phishing attempts.

Why Should You Use a Security Key?

A security key is a small device designed to enhance the security of your account. Facebook has identified using a security key as the most effective method to secure accounts. Hackers may use various techniques to breach passwords, OTP codes, and common authentication methods, but they cannot bypass the FIDO2 technology employed by security keys. Microsoft also recognizes that FIDO2 authentication technology prevents 99.99% of phishing attacks.
